Robson gives Britain rare singles title (AP)
Britain collected its first Wimbledon singles championship in 24 years Saturday. OK, so it wasn’t the men’s title or the women’s title, but it was a title, nonetheless. Laura Robson, a 14-year-old who was born in Australia but moved to England when she was 6, won the girls’ title at the All England Club.

The 2008 Mixed Doubles final will take place on Sunday afternoon at Wimbledon after the men's championship match.
Mike Bryan and Katarina Srebotnik will play Bob Bryan and Samantha Stosur.
Venus, Serena win Wimbledon doubles (AP)
The Williams family has collected a second Wimbledon championship Saturday. Sisters Venus and Serena Williams paired to beat Lisa Raymond and Samantha Stosur 6-2, 6-2 in the women’s doubles final. The match began about 3 1/2 hours after Venus finished beating Serena 7-5, 6-4 in the women’s singles title match.
Federer, Nadal know each other well (AP)
After moving within a victory of his sixth consecutive Wimbledon title, Roger Federer found time to catch only a few games of Rafael Nadal’s semifinal. Federer does have a DVD of Nadal’s match, but he wasn’t exactly rushing to use it for scouting purposes before they meet for the Wimbledon championship Sunday.

Venus Williams Defeats Serena for Fifth Wimbledon Championship Tennis Title
In what was a stunning display of high-quality tennis, Venus Williams has defeated her sister Serena in straight sets 7-5, 6-4 for the 2008 Wimbledon ladies' singles title.
Venus had not beaten Serena in a Grand Slam singles final since their very first major championship at the 2001 US Open.
